The AE3007C incorporates dual channel Full Authority Digital Electronic Controls (FADEC). The engine is a modular design and features six large access panels for Line Replacement Unit (LRU) maintenance and multiple borescope inspection ports.
The engine has a bypass ratio of 5.1 and is rated at a static, sea level takeoff thrust of 6,442 pounds to 86 degrees Fahrenheit.
An APU is incorporated for engine start and other benefits, and is certified for in-flight use. The APU is located in the tailcone stinger for ease of maintenance.
